To celebrate Giving Tuesday on Nov. 30, 2023, more than 70 North America employees’ Mosaic Employee Giving Program (MEGP) accounts were randomly seeded with funds from The Mosaic Company Foundation. The employees used the funds to support causes that are important to them.

Here’s how a few of the Florida employees chose to use those funds:

Metropolitan Ministries

Patricia, a chemist at our Bartow facility, chose to support Metropolitan Ministries.

“I recently volunteered with some other Mosaic employees at a Metropolitan Ministries pop-up tent in Wimauma helping distribute holiday hams, turkeys, fresh vegetables and boxes of miscellaneous dry products to families in need,” Patricia said. “This experience definitely put me in a giving spirit and opened my eyes to how much Metropolitan Ministries does for the community. I know the donation will do a lot of good for local families.”

First Ladies Farm and Sanctuary

Sherri, a Sales Service Representative at our FishHawk office, chose to support First Ladies Farm and Sanctuary. She adopted her cat, Mini, from First Ladies.

“They invest a lot of time and money in their rescues to get to know them to determine what type of home would make the best fur-ever home for those that are adoptable,” she said.  “They are the hardest working, most caring and giving people I have ever met and do so much for our local community and beyond.”
