About Mosaic in Polk
Mosaic’s phosphate and fertilizer products are responsible for roughly 46,000 Florida jobs, generating nearly $3.1 billion in personal income in our regional economy. In Polk County, we operate two active manufacturing facilities and a mine site and have many employees whose jobs require advanced industrial training and strict safety requirements.
To help meet the current and future demands for these positions, we’ve partnered with local colleges to support the development of the curriculum needed for these types of skilled trades and create workforce training that helps employees enhance their careers and build a brighter future right here in Polk County.
Our employees make meaningful contributions of their time, knowledge and resources to local organizations to help make the communities in which we operate stronger. For our company, our employees and contractors, the communities where we operate are our homes as well as yours – cherished communities where we live, work, play and raise our children. We want to ensure we are raising our families where there is a good quality of life, clear air and water, and a robust economy that provides good jobs.
