About the Florida Fishing Trail
The Florida Fishing Trail is a partnership project between Mosaic, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) and Hardee County.
Located in Hardee County, the trail is a premier, freshwater fishing destination for anglers of all ages and capabilities. Built on reclaimed land for generations to enjoy, the Florida Fishing Trail encompasses a total of nine freshwater lakes. Five of the lakes – Lake O’Rourke, Lake Rotary, Key Lake, Sandhill Lake and Lake Wildcat – are located on more than 260 acres of reclaimed land. The trail also includes all four lakes in Hardee Lakes Park. A valid fishing license is required for all anglers.
Note: The specific rule language for the Trail is 68A-20.005(4)(x).
