Our Impact in Hillsborough

For the roughly 3,000 Mosaic phosphate employees in Florida, the communities where we operate also are our homes – where we live, work, play and raise our children. We want what every other Floridian wants – a good quality of life, clean air and water, and a healthy economy that supports good-paying jobs.

It’s what motivates us to give our time and energy in support of countless activities throughout Hillsborough County.

Investing in the communities where we operate is one of our core values. Through programs, activities and grants that focus on food, water and the local community, we’re making a difference in Hillsborough County by providing support to organizations that improve quality of life for all residents.

Goals for Food

Through our Goals for Food partnership with the Tampa Bay Lightning, Mosaic is proud to support hunger relief efforts. Mosaic donates $1,000 for every goal and $1,500 for every hat trick the Bolts score to hunger relief organizations. In over a decade of the partnership, Mosaic has provided more than 10 million meals to organizations like Feeding Tampa Bay, Meals on Wheels of Tampa, Metropolitan Ministries and more.

Education

Mosaic supports learning beginning with elementary education through college and workforce training, including sponsoring more than $450,000 annually in K-12 education throughout our operating area. These funds are used for STEM-related classes and activities, school supply drives and educational programming. Mosaic is partnered with 140 schools and other organizations supporting K-12 throughout Florida, including The Hillsborough Education Foundation. Youth Agriculture

We’re passionate about passing on agricultural education to the next generation. That’s why we support county fairs and the Florida State Fair through sponsorships and the purchase of students’ livestock projects every year. Once purchased, Mosaic donates the meat from the livestock sale to more than 20 food partners throughout our operating area to combat food insecurity. In 2023, we donated 17,600 pounds of meat.
