TAMPA BAY – The Tampa Bay Lightning and The Mosaic Company have successfully concluded the 2025–2026 Goals for Food season, marking another impactful year in the long-standing partnership to help address food insecurity across West Central Florida. After completing the 13th season, the program continues to demonstrate the power of collaboration between organizations, community partners and fans working toward a shared purpose.
Throughout the season, each Lightning goal scored brought meaningful support to families across the region. Through the program’s structure—donating $1,000 for every goal scored at home, $1,500 for every home hat trick and additional contributions for overtime games at Benchmark Arena—the 2025–2026 season generated a total donation of $246,000 to local hunger relief efforts.
These contributions will be distributed among a network of local food partners working on the frontlines of hunger relief, helping to provide critical resources such as food assistance, mobile pantries, backpack programs for school-age children and other community-based support services.
With this year’s contribution, the Goals for Food program has now helped deliver the equivalent of 15.5 million meals since its inception—an achievement that reflects more than a decade of sustained community impact and partnership-driven support.
The success of the program is driven not only by on-ice performance, but by the engagement of the Tampa Bay community. During the season, fans, employees and partners came together through food drives and in-game awareness efforts to help expand the reach and impact of not only the initiative, but the impact that the agriculture industry has on hunger relief as well.
“Mosaic’s mission is to help the world grow the food it needs, and we are committed to helping end food insecurity in the communities where we live and work,” said Bruce Bodine, President and CEO of The Mosaic Company. “We are proud of the positive impact the Goals for Food program continues to have and the role our partnership with the Lightning plays in supporting families across the Tampa Bay region.”
“For more than a decade, the Goals for Food program has played a meaningful role in addressing food insecurity across the Tampa Bay community,” said Sheri Anderson, Vice President of Partnership Development and Activation at Vinik Sports Group. “Each season is a reminder of what can be achieved when organizations, partners and fans come together to make a difference.”
As the program looks ahead to future seasons, the continued collaboration between the Tampa Bay Lightning, Mosaic and its community partners remains focused on one goal—ensuring families across West Central Florida have access to the food and resources they need.
