Jeff Ryman, RCRA Coordinator at Mosaic’s Riverview Facility, helps ensure the site remains in compliance with environmental rules and guidelines.
An honored veteran, Jeff received the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal for his service in the U.S. Navy as an operations specialist and rescue swimmer during the Persian Gulf War. Although his time in the military is over, he continues to support others who have served.
In addition to helping raise funds and volunteering with My Warrior’s Place, Jeff is currently a Board Member with the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association’s (CVMA) Florida Chapter.
Most recently, he became a member of Mosaic’s Veterans Employee Inclusion Network (EIN), one of six employee-led and leader sponsored groups, that through advocacy and allyship help foster a diverse and inclusive workplace where all employees can thrive.
Very important to Jeff personally – he volunteers with CVMA’s Final Miles Program, which ensures deceased veterans who have no one to claim them are given a service, an escort to the national cemetery and an honors burial by branch of service.
“To date, we’ve completed 43 Final Miles trips – which includes escorting a WW2 Red Tail Pilot, a WW2 female combat photographer, and even a Korean War Veteran from Tampa to Louisville, Kentucky so he could be laid to rest next to his mom per his dying wish,” said Jeff. “The Final Mile is a demonstration of our commitment to ensuring no veteran goes to their resting place alone.”
